CotaiTripping (Part 3): Far East Consortium, Macao Studio City, Four Seasons Macao

If you may wish to read part 1 or part 2 of this walk before this one..

I headed east along the south side of the Venetian to check out the progress of the Far East Consortium site, Macao Studio City and the Four Seasons Macao.

Far East Consortium

To the south east of the Venetian is large plot of land where the Far East Consortium will partner with Las Vegas Sands on an integrated resort featuring 5 different hotels. Sands will manage the casino - moooooooo! Currently, the Far East Consortium hasn't submitted their final plans for the property to the Macau government for approval. It appears that this plot of land is a staging area for the Four Seasons construction that is in the background.

Macao Studio City

At the roundabout just north of the Chinese Border Gate immigration checkpoint and the Lotus Bridge that leads to Henquin Island I made another left turn to head back towards the main drag. Directly to the south of the Venetian is Macao Studio City. Macao Studio City is owned by a group of investors dba as New Cotai LLC. Macao Studio City will have its casino managed by Melco/PBL and it will feature a W, Starwood and Playboy branded Hotel and Casino as well as a television broadcast studio. Being the broadcast nuts that they are Macao Studio City has set up a construction web cam.

Adjacent to the Venetian Macao will be a Four Seasons hotel. Four Seasons will be the first Five Star resort in Cotai and will feature a miniature casino catered to VIP high rollers that will be operated by the Las Vegas Sands (mooooooo!).

So that's the gigantic walk around Cotai I took on September 19, 2007. I hope you find some of this interesting and/or informative. I took a ton more photos that will be posted when MacauTripping launches after the dust settles in the next few weeks or so.
