Wynn Macau Ditching Encore Brand?

WynnMacau.com has updated their website to include an intro teaser for the opening of the Encore tower using the tag line "Everybody's talking about the new girl in town." The imagery appears to be a mashup of Wynn's flowers and Encore's butterflies, perhaps they flower petals flying in the wind? What is interesting here is the omission of the name Encore, as a top line 'brand.' This, coupled with the folding of the @encorelasvegas Twitter account leads me to believe that Wynn has finally realized that the putting dual brands under one roof concept probably wasn't going to work over the long term. Either way, there is no "Encore Macau".

Encore's two tiers of suite offerings - Encore Grand Salon Suite (HKD$4388/nt / ~US$549/nt) and Encore Deluxe Suite (HKD$2588/nt / ~US$319/nt) - have been added to the available room inventory in their "Rates and Reservations" app. Squirreled away in a puny scrolling textarea are two high level descriptions of the offerings.

A perfect complement to Wynn Macau, Encore retains its own elegance and sense of style for a unique experience

Comments & Discussion:

I think this is right on the money. Although as a customer I prefer the Encore experience, the ambiguity of the two brands tends to confuse some. I would much rather call it Encore at Wynn than just Encore if everyone finally knew what that was.

On the other hand I'm excited to see this place open. No one does new like Wynn.

Tell me, does it even say "Encore" on the new tower? It's hard to tell from the photos I've found.

With all the evidence that they're thinking of homogenizing their identities both East and West, I thought the main inspiration for the Beach Club at Encore Las Vegas is to give the property a more unique identity. What the hell's going on?!

@MikeE: It says Wynn, not Encore.

Thanks JS! That's what I thought. After giving more thought though, I think Wynn wasn't going to pass up the idea of having his name sparkling on one of Macau's tallest towers.

i wonder if thats all that will be bookable..

wynn macau has that crazy rate jump.

but they may not have anything else besides "villas with casinos" at encore.

encore deluxe suite = deluxe room lake view + $39 (about twice the size...)
encore grand salon suite = one bedroom suite city view + $64

shades of vegas, where encore can be cheaper than wynn

anyone found factsheets/roomcounts for either macau property?
