Harrah's Buys Golf Club Adjacent to Cotai Strip
Harrah's, which was left with its *blank* in its hands when the Macau concessions and subconcessions were announced, announced that they are going to buy the Macau Orient Golf Club adjacent to the Cotai Strip. Despite being the largest gaming company in the known universe, Harrah's was passed over for a Macau concession and also lost a Singapore bid last year.
Harrah's involvement in the Macau Orient Golf Club is aimed to give their loyal Asian members an outpost in Macau, even if it is non-gaming. Maybe Harrah's is hedging that another concession will be offered... who knows. Maybe Harrah's wants to build Bills Non-Gamblin Hall and Putting Green. Maybe maybe maybe Harrah's should go build another riverboat joint in Mississippi.
