Four Seasons Macao Opening Delayed
The Macau Daily Times is reporting that the Four Seasons Macao has delayed its June opening to late summer/early fall.
General Manager Antoine Chahwan stated that the delay wasn't caused by any specific problems, but instead standard difficulties due to organizing and executing the project with many disparate contractors and suppliers.
Possibly the Four Seasons (and Las Vegas Sands Corp) learned from the messy opening of the Venetian Vegas offshoot The Palazzo that theoretical gains from rushing a product to market are often offset by lousy reviews and bad word of mouth spread by early visitors and reviewers. The Palazzo was (and continues to be) tarnished in the press for incomplete accommodations, missing furniture, construction damaged decor and miles of blue construction tape.
