Turkey Congee Overload
I decided to take a week off with the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday. Thanksgiving, for those who live abroad is a holiday here where everybody gets together with their friends and family to eat roasted Turkey stuffed with spiced bread, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie and a bunch of other dishes. It is usually accompanied by watching American football on TV and falling asleep on the couch. I normally have a difficult time keeping away from the computer, so for me to not post anything for seven whole days was almost a miracle. Hopefully y'all haven't forgotten about us during my vacation.
I did manage to go see the reunited rock legends Van Halen play a concert here in Los Angeles, and headed out to Las Vegas for a quick overnight stay at the Hard Rock that included tickets to see another rock legend Ozzy Osbourne live at the Joint. It was an interesting, although short trip, and my first visit to Vegas since going to Macau. Frankly, I'd rather go to Macau even though the gambling in Vegas is more my speed.
So, the holiday is over, and next up on the docket is a tour of the truly lovely Crown Macau. I've fired up the coffee pot and am diving in post-haste.
