A Little History:
MGM Macau opened as MGM Grand Macau on December 18th, 2007 and cost US$1.25B to build. The building was designed by Wong Tung & Partners. MGM Macau is a partnership between MGM Resorts International (50% owner) and Pansy Ho (21% owner), daughter of Macau casino tycoon Stanley Ho. The property name was truncated to MGM Macau in 2010.

Hotel Rooms:
MGM Macau features 600 hotel rooms, suites and villas spread throughout its 28 story hotel. Hotel rooms come in three flavors - Grand Room, Grand Deluxe Ocean View Room and Grand Studio. Grand Room and Grand Deluxe Ocean View room differ only by the direction the rooms face from the hotel tower. The Grand Studio, however, features vastly different hotel room designs that are infinitely more sleek, contemporary and uncluttered than the Grand Room offerings.
Grand Deluxe Suites and Villas are designed for the highest of MGM's high rollers are are rarely available for public booking. Both the Grand Deluxe Suites and Villas are accessible through MGM Macau's dedicated VIP lobby and private elevator core. Designs for both of these rooms are bright, opulent and spacious.

MGM Macau features a dozen restaurants and bars ranging from Cantonese cuisine, to French bistros to Asian cuisine from every corner of the region.

MGM Macau is part of Golden Lion Club, the Chinese equivalent to MGM's M Life program. Members can exchange points for discounts or goods via MGM Golden Lion Rewards club.
Not one of the better foreign ran casinos in Macau. Actualy I take that back, its an implied insult to some of the great SJM properties.
Casino layout is sprawling, and almost feels like you are playing in a convention center at times.
I do give a strong thumbs up to the bar in the center of the casino. A great place to go for a few drinks and entertainment.
