MGM Grand Macau Preview (Part 1) : Renderings, Models, and the Grande Praca
Exclusive Photos of MGM Grand Macau's Architectural Models
Architectural Model - MGM Grand Macau
The MGM Grand Macau features a 600 room, 35 story hotel tower that is divided into three contrasting layers all with interleaved wavy glass facades. The golden tier (8 'floors') consists primarily of Suites, Villas and Deluxe Villas. The azure tier (10 floors) features Suites as well as the larger and more opulent guest rooms. The bronze tier (13 floors) hosts standard guest rooms. The ground floor of the hotel tower's podium features a large spa and restaurants on the second floor. As you will see in the construction photos in Part 2 (coming soon), the porte cochére has evolved considerably since initial design.
To the left of the porte cochére are two structures, the taller of which houses a roof top pool with infinity feature plus a bar and function room. Levels 2 & 3 inside this building will house The Spa and the ground floor is the Grand Ballroom. The shorter building's roof plans are part of Phase 2 construction as is some of the inner floors. The ground floor is a continuation of the Grand Ballroom.
Note the park lamps that are shaped like the Macau Tower... we'll see if this actually happens. Currently, the land between Avenida Marginal de Baia Nova and the water is a big open pile of dirt.
