Ponte 16 Macau : First Look Photos
Our first peek into Macau's first inner harbor casino, Ponte 16
Ponte 16's entrance features a fine display of injection molded Greek columns (of the Corinthian variety) with segmented shafts, decorative capitals supporting a floral inlaid frieze and cornice which supports a very Portuguese array of five graduated ledges, which are a bit of a dud. One would expect that the stuff on the roof would have a bit more zip, but historically, there was nothing on top of Corintinan order roofs - they were flat.
Architectural digressions aside... holy crap that is one large disco ball. Actually, it looks like an inverted version of the Grand Lisboa casino egg, although I'm not sure if it does a full on neon light freak out like other Macau casinos. I would hope so.
